Interview at Robert Bosch

I was called by the representative from Bosch to have an interview with them on the 20th october 2006. Other than me alone, there are another 4 of my friends were also being asked to attend the interview on the same day. They are Leong, Sasen, Aaron Ang, and Puvanan. This means that we have to compete with each other for the same job. And what i’ve heard from the people in Bosch is that they are going to take only one person as their trainees instead of 2. This has been very frustrating to us as we have to typically "kill" each other during the interview session. Killing here means we really have to outshine each other la… not kill la. Like what Sasen crap, let’s go to mamak the night b4 we go for the interview… and then … muahahaha . poison the rest of the interviewees.
So me, Leong, and Aaron together with Kelly started our journey to KL on thursday evening. We reached KL at about 10pm. We sent Kelly home first and then the 3 of us… quite blind about the road in KL tried to find the famous bak kut teh in Kepong. But all effort went in vain. not to say totally in vain la… at least we got to try bak kut teh eaten with porridge. and the porridge is not bad la. Me and Leong over-ate. We had too much food that night. Till the point we couldn;t really walk properly. Then we head of to Cheras, my cousin;s place. Luckily my aunt and uncle went to China so leong and aaron stay together with me at my cousin;s place. The next morning, have to send Aaron to the LRT station super early in the morning. At 6am. This is because his interview was scheduled at 8:15am. and mine is at 10:45 whereas leong’s is at 11:15. so we can sleep another 1 or 2 more hours.
Anyway, me and Leong arrived about 1 hour earlier from my interview time. First person i saw when i arrive Robert Bosch was Munira. I wanted to call her earlier but i totally forgotten about it. I knew that she is working as a trainee there as well. Of course, before the interview, we did get some tips from Aaron and Puvanan as their interview sessions are much earlier than ours. So there we waited, and we waited, and we tried to memorize the information Leong get from the internet and read their brochure and try our best to know more about the company. I remember there’s this company vision and mission statement hanging on the wall with german language. Of course also with the translation of it la. So i also tried to read it to know more about the culture of the company.
Finally, it’s my turn to head into the interview room. The interviewer. Mr. Charanjit Singh. One of the most approachable interviewer i;ve ever met. In a way, the interview was conducted at a very casual manner where you wont feel nervous at all. The interview lasted for about 40 minutes.
After the interview, we went makan yong tau fu… then Leong headed back to UTP while Aaron went to Seremban and me… stay in KL for another few days. Wanna thank Kelly for recommending to apply to Bosch. Anyway, hope that anyone from the 5 of us will get the offer from Bosch.
