Desire…

I’m sure every one has desires. Desire to achive something in life… desire to be with somebody, desire to do something seems impossible and many many more. Some people desire to make lots of money in their carreer, whereas some people desire to follow their heart and go into the industry that interest them.
I think that doesn;t matter what your desire is. no matter how lame is the reason of your desire, you can achive it if you can make your reason strong enough. This sounds very contradicting because how can a lame reason be strong enough to make you achive your desire?
ok… let’s take a look at a very simple example of some one with a simple desire but made his reason strong enough by doing something about it.
"There was a 10-year-old fatherless child asking his mother about a man in a fancy carriage. The mother told him that that person was actually a congressman. The little boy told the mother that he would like to be a congressman when he grows up. That’s to us is very ambitious. But if we examine, what made him think of becoming a congressman? it’s the fact that he saw some congressman riding in a fancy carriage? He can simply owns one without having to be the congressman. he don even knows at that time what a congressman does. But this little kid, he is so serious about being a congressman that he wrote down in a piece of paper "I’m going to be a congressman" and pasted it on the mirror. By a week time, the boy found some part time job earning some cash to buy books to learn how to be a congressman. at the age of 10? ya… at the age of 10. He continues his pursue to being a congressman later on in his life. trying his best to earn extra money to fund his own studies.
By 26, he became a state senator and by 33 a congressman. The note on his mirror remains until the day he was elected to the congress. what happened after that? He, James A. Garfield became the President of the U.S.A. His simple desire didnt really made him a congressman or the president. But simply the fact that he took the effort to write down what he wants in life. He was serious about being a congressman. He wrote it down so that it reminds him of the ambition every single day. That little desire grew into burning desire and then into passion followed by plans and actions. It became a part of him."
So what kind of desire we have in our life? Try to be so serious about it. Write it down on paper. And you’ll see maybe after 23 years? 30 year? you’ll know what this small little stinky piece of paper has made to change your life.

Desire
is the key to motivation, but it’s determination and commitment to an
unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that
will enable you to attain the success you seek.
